Strip Distillery Tours
Join us on Saturdays (and now select Fridays!) for a tour to get a taste of the good stuff we've distilled! We'll walk you through how we start with organic, local grain to produce a portfolio of award winning, full flavored Whiskeys, Gins, Rums, and Vodka. Throughout the tour we'll regale you with the true tale of the Pittsburgh's Whiskey Rebellion, one of the country's quirkiest and pivotal events.
The tour includes a cocktail to start, a hands on tour of our distillation process, a history of the Whiskey Rebellion told through the eyes of our namesake, Philip Wigle, and a seated tasting of straight spirits. The total length of the tour is 1 hour and is limited in size to ensure a fun experience for everyone. The distillery gets quite warm in the summer, so dress accordingly!
If you're looking for a weekday tour, we do offer private tours as detailed below.
Our public tours fill up fast! But if you can get a group of at least twelve folks together, we'll set up a tour just for you! Email firstname.lastname@example.org to set one up. We can accommodate up to 24 guests on a private tour and require a deposit in advance. Private tours during the week cost $25/person. A deposit of $300 is required to hold the time. Private tours last one hour and no outside food is permitted.
Distillery Tours sold out during your desired time? Join us at Threadbare Cider & Mead for a tour to learn about Pittsburgher and cider frontiersman Johnny "Appleseed" Chapman, cider production and enjoy cocktails and cider along the way!
***Ticket exchange/Reschedule policy**** We understand that stuff comes up. If you need to reschedule for a different tour date, please let us know 72 hours in advance of your tour to allow for others to grab your spots. We can not accommodate requests made to exchange tickets received later than the 72 hour window. Please email email@example.com to reschedule tours.
Special note to bachelor parties We are sure you and your buddies are the utmost, awesome gentlemen. And we'd love to meet you when you're not in bachelor party mode. We do not serve alcohol or give tours to folks who arrive at the distillery intoxicated.
Special note on those under 21 years of age We prefer if people on the tour are 21 and over. For safety reasons, we can't allow anyone under the age of 12 on the tour.
Some additional info: For those touring during the summertime, our tasting room is air conditioned, but the production area, which you will tour, is not. If it's a warm day outside, wear cool comfortable clothes and expect to sweat!
