From the Barrel Tasting Experience
From the Barrel Tasting Experience at the Barrelhouse
2018 Barrelhouse From the Barrel tasting experiences begin April 21st!
We are excited to launch a new tasting experience at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse and Whiskey Garden this season! You'll taste 6 exclusive products, including a cask strength Organic Rye Whiskey directly from the barrel and specialty barrel finishes. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to practice using a whiskey thief to select a barrel to fill a bottle of Wigle Rye Whiskey or Bourbon to take home. You'll also get a sneak peek of the products in our innovation pipeline. You’ll get a deep dive on the science and art of barrel aging--learning about how wood variety, barrel size and aging conditions affect spirits. We'll transport you back to the 1800s to learn how Pittsburgh’s Rye Whiskey grew into a national phenomenon and fueled both the businesses of the wealthiest men in the world--Frick, Carnegie and Mellon--and the steel industry in Pittsburgh.
*A Note on Accessibility* Stair climbing is normally required on certain portions of our tour. If this might be an issue, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the date and time of your tour and we will make appropriate accommodations!

Some additional info for those who have signed up for a tour: For those touring during the summertime, our tasting room is air conditioned, but the barrel house, which you will tour, is not. If it's a warm day outside, it will be warm in the barrel house. If it's hot outside, it will be hot in the barrel house.
